Resume Styles

There are several styles of resume, along with numerous variations. Your experience and types of work you are applying to help define the style of resume you use. Two Main styles: Chronological resume and functional skills resume. Some of the changes include the main themes business, academic, general, student, Standard, Professional, or technology.

Chronological Resume lists work experience in reverse order chronological order (most recent experience first). It includes some descriptive text about each position, as a rule, described in about one paragraph.

This type of resume offers several advantages: it is widely Accepted that they are easy to read, and they show a clear structure your development. The disadvantages include: it Highlight major achievements (s), and they are not effective Show others your skills.

Functional skills resume highlight your skills and accomplishments, rather than providing a chronological record your work history. Your accomplishments and skills listed in start. Your work history listed at the end resume.

This type of resume allows you to draw attention to your achievements. The main disadvantage is that employers can find difficult to follow your experience.

Many people find that a combination of these two types CV is the best way. You can try several different types of combinations before settling on the final design.
