Optional Data in Your Resume


There are a lot of personal data, which may be somewhat controversial, if you include in your resume. In the past it was acceptable to include all types of personal data, but time and laws were changed. Affirmative action laws make it illegal discrimination on the basis of such things as age, sex, marital status, race, religion, and so forth. Thus, most experts recommend the inclusion of this type of personal information in your resume.

Your salary requirements should not be listed in the resume, If you can avoid it. The reason is that if you put too low a level salary, you can pay less than the real value of work. If You put this figure is too high, you may not get considered for. If the employer likes you, it may be possible negotiate higher salary during the interview stage.

Another thing is that your resume does not need your photograph. Potential employers can decide if they are interested in to you after reading your resume. They can see what you look like during the interview.
